How to Make my Epson Projector Louder?

If you have recently laid your hands on an Epson projector, you must be excited to test all its features out. Apart from a picture-perfect quality and HD display, Epson projectors are also known for their fantastic sound quality.

If you have an Epson projector and face issues adjusting the sound on the projector, or you feel that it is not loud enough, you can do basic troubleshooting at home and quickly fix the problem. Additionally, you can also connect external speakers or Bluetooth speakers to your Epson projector and enjoy the enhanced sound quality.

Why Is My Epson Projector Volume So Low?

There are several reasons why you may notice low volume on your Epson projector.

1 – Not Turning Up the Volume Properly

If you experience low volume output with your Epson projector, the first thing to do is check the volume control buttons on the top of the projector. Most of the time, the volume is turned down using the projector’s volume control, and the user cannot identify it.

Moreover, if your projector is connected to an external device via HDMI or USB, ensure that you turn up the device’s volume for louder sound output.

2 – Problem with External Devices

Similarly, if you connect your Epson projector to an external speaker or audio device, check the volume control on the device or external speakers.

Some Epson projectors allow you to connect additional apps to them. Whether your projector has an app installed on it or it is playing through an external device, check the volume settings of the app to ensure that it is turned up.

If you have connected an adapter to your Epson Projector, make sure that it supports audio. Various outdated adapters in the market do not support sound functionality. Hence, this could be one of the reasons why your Epson Projector has no or low sound output.

3 – Incorrect Audio Source Selection

Another common reason for a low volume output on Epson projectors is selecting the incorrect audio output.

Always make sure that your source device has the projector audio output enabled. This will ensure a proper connection between your source device and Epson projector.

If your Epson projector is connected to Bluetooth speakers, check it to ensure the connection is secure. You can go to Bluetooth settings and verify this.

If your Epson Projector is connected to Apple TV, check the sound settings on Apple TV. You simply have to select the ‘Best Quality’ in the sound setting to ensure the volume output is up to the mark.

4 – Software Not Updated

Apart from this, if your Epson Projector software is not updated, sound and volume issues may arise. Therefore, always ensure that you have the latest software update installed on your Epson Projector so everything can run smoothly on it.

5 – Faulty Cables

Finally, make sure that all the external cables and connecting wires you use are in proper condition. Sometimes faulty wires and hardware are why you cannot maintain a stable connection with external devices or speakers. You can do a simple test by using the cables on your TV or laptops to check if they are in proper working condition or not.

How Can I Make My Epson Projector Louder?

There are three ways you can make your Epson projector louder.

Let’s take a look at each one of them.

1. Making my Epson Projector Louder with a Remote Control

To increase the volume of your Epson Projector using the remote control, follow the steps given below.

Using HDMI

  • Step 1: Press the power button to turn on the projector
  • Step 2: Connect the external device to your projector using an HDMI cable. You can also simply plug in a USB hard drive in the USB port on the projector.
  • Step 3: After this, press the ‘Source’ button on your remote and select your desired source output, either HDMI or USB.
  • Step 4: Once your projector is connected to the source, you can now press the ‘Volume Increase/Decrease’ buttons on the remote to change sound levels. If your projector is connected to a laptop, you can also control volume levels from the laptop’s sound settings.

  • Step 1: Press the power button to turn on the projector
  • Step 2: Connect the external device to your projector using a VGA cable. You can also use a VGA-HDMI cable and connect it to the HDMI port. However, if you use a VGA cable, you can directly connect it to your 15-pin VGA port on the projector.
  • Step 3: Now connect the audio cable to the headphone jack of your computer. Select the ‘Computer’ button on the remote control, and you are good to go.

2. Making my Epson Projector Louder without a Remote Control

If you have misplaced your Epson Projector remote or it is out of reach for some reason, you can still adjust the volume.

Your Epson Projector is built-in with ‘Volume’ buttons that can be found on top of the projector. To make your projector louder, all you have to do is simply press the volume increase button on the projector until you reach your desired sound output.

You can use these buttons to adjust the sound levels of the projector as well as any external device or speakers connected to it.

3. Making my Epson Projector Louder with External Speakers

If your Epson Projector volume is low, you can easily connect external speakers to the projector to make it louder.

You can connect external speakers using an HDMI cable, VGA cable, USB cable or plug it in the audio jack on your projector. Once plugged in, your speakers will automatically connect with the projector, and now all sound output will come from the speakers.

All you have to do is use your remote or the volume buttons on the projector to adjust the sound levels. You can also use the volume button on the speakers to increase or decrease sound.

To get sound output from your speakers even when the projector is turned off, you have to enable the ‘Always On’ option from the A/V output settings. These settings can be accessed using the extended menu of your projector.

To ensure that you get a loud and smooth audio output, ensure that all your audio and video outputs are properly connected to the projectors using the right cables. One end of the cable needs to be connected to the external speakers and to the projector’s Left and Right audio ports.

In addition to this, you can also connect a Bluetooth speaker with your Epson Projector if it supports this functionality. You simply have to pair the Bluetooth device/speakers with your projector by turning the speaker and Bluetooth settings on, on the projector. Your speakers will get connected to the projector within a few seconds.

Once you connect the Bluetooth speakers to the projector, you can adjust the volume using a remote control or the projector’s volume buttons.
