5 Samsung Frame TV Ideas
Ah, I’ve got a soft spot for the Samsung Frame TV.
For me, it’s not just a television, but a piece of art in your living room or wherever you decide to place it.
Over the years, Samsung has offered a delightful assortment of frame styles to ensure that their tech blends seamlessly into different room designs.
Whether you’re a fan of the sleek metallic look or prefer a warm wooden touch , there’s something for everyone.
I remember a friend of mine, who chose a rich walnut frame for his living room, which perfectly complemented the mid-century modern vibe of his TV room.
Depending on the style of your current TV room, you have the freedom to select a frame color that genuinely makes your TV stand out and adds that personal touch.
If you’re someone who enjoys a vibrant and playful living space, consider giving a red or blue frame a shot.
These frames may have a simple design, but they certainly know how to add that pop of color and character to your surroundings.
It’s lovely how these customizable frames can make a state-of-the-art TV feel so personal and in tune with your aesthetic.
6 Steps To Craft a DIY Frame for Any TV
If those TV frame prices aren’t exactly budget-friendly for you, I’d recommend taking a DIY approach to frame your TV.
And even if you don’t happen to own a Samsung Frame TV but still crave that stylish frame around your television, a DIY frame might just be the perfect solution for you.
Things that you may need to craft a DIY Frame:
- A tape measure
- 4 wooden trims (make sure they are at least 4 inches longer than your TV)
- A small oak board (to create an L-shape to hang the frame)
- Epoxy glue
- A miter box and saw (To fixate the trims and saw them at different angles)
- A Rub-n-Buff Tube or
- A corner clamp (To secure the trims while waiting for the glue to set in)
When you have all the above, move on to the process:
Step 1: Measure your TV
There are two ways to measure your TV.
Either you use the measuring tape to measure your TV – including its frame.
Or place the wood trims alongside the TV and mark down where the corners are along the inner edges of your frame.
Step 2: Cut The Trims
Secure the trims in place within the miter box, and carefully cut along the marked lines at a 45-degree angle as shown in the image below.
It’s essential to ensure that the cut surfaces on both ends of the trim are oriented in the same direction.
Step 3: Stick Them Together
Once the trims are all cut, we want them to stick together to form a frame.
Use the epoxy glue on the sawed surface. You will need the corner clamp to fixate two 45-degree corners to form a right angle.
Then you wait for the glue to kick in.
Step 4: Polish the Frame
In this step, you can either choose a paint color of your liking – or stick with the wood texture.
I advise using the Wood Polish Wax if you want your frame to be shiny.
For a metallic shine, I suggest applying the Rub-n-Buff Tube .
Step 5: Craft and Apply the L-shaped Hanger
Now that we’ve got the frame all set up, it’s time to hang it around the TV.
By crafting and applying an L-shaped hanger to the frame, we make sure it’s easy to take down if we ever change our minds and decide we’d rather not have it there anymore.
- Take the small oak board and cut it into two equal pieces, each measuring 6 inches in length.
- Begin with the first piece: Apply glue along one of its long and narrow sides. (1st as in the image below)
- Position this glued edge at the top of the back side of the top trim in the center and press down firmly.
- Clamp down securely and allow the glue to dry completely.
- Now, for the second piece: Apply glue along half of its broader side (2nd)
- Attach this glued section to the underside of the first piece, ensuring they form an ‘L’ shape.
Now, just give it some time for the glue to dry completely. Once that’s done, your TV frame is pretty much ready.
Step 6: Hang the Frame on Your TV
This is the final and simplest step.
Take a moment to gently position your frame right on top of the TV.
Be sure to double-check the hanger to prevent your frame from falling off the TV before it gets its time to shine.
