Do LG Monitors Come with DisplayPort Cables?

a LG monitor

Sharing is caring!

LG Electronics Inc. sells a myriad of monitors that will suit anyone’s needs. LG monitors come with cables that allow you to power it up and connect it to your PC or your game console. However, if you’re looking for DisplayPort cables, not all LG monitors come with them.

LG doesn’t have a written policy as to which monitor models or monitor types come with a DisplayPort cable. Some monitors come with DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB Type-C cables; others only come with HDMI, while some models only have a DisplayPort cable, and others only USB Type-C.

To know which model comes with a DisplayPort cable, you can head on to LG and select the monitor you like; go to the Specs/Specification section and scroll down to Accessories or Cabinets/Accessories. You will see the types of cables this specific model comes with.

Sifting through pages upon pages of monitors is time-consuming and not everyone has time for that. The fastest way is to take note of the monitor’s model number and contact LG’s support team. They would happily answer all of your questions regarding a product or products you are interested in.

3. What if my LG monitor doesn’t have a DisplayPort cable?

If you receive an LG monitor with missing cables or other accessories and it says in the box or the specification sheet that it comes with those cables, you need to contact LG Order Support within 5 business days of delivery.

4. Are DisplayPorts better for gaming?

Based on various parameters and tests, DisplayPort cables are better compared to HDMI cables for gaming. DisplayPort cables have faster refresh rates which means reduced display lags or tearing.

Conclusion

LG monitors come with cables you need to connect to a PC. However, not all LG monitors come with a DisplayPort cable even if they have ports for DisplayPort. DisplayPort cables offer better display refresh rates which means less tearing or impaired visuals during games.

If your LG monitor is missing a DisplayPort cable, make sure the model comes with it before contacting LG. If unsure, you can get in touch with LG’s support via email or chat to inquire whether your monitor model comes with the DisplayPort cable or not.
